The Challenge
The team at Vealls spend most of their day helping customers and with people often accessing the fuse products, over the years the fuse shelving areas can get a little untidy and confusing. This can increase the risk of selecting incorrect products and is not very aesthetically pleasing. The Vealls Branch Manager found out that Fuseco had recently visited Delta Electrical Distributors in Shepparton and updated the organisation of their fuse shelving system, so he asked Fuseco to visit Vealls and assist to re-organise the stocked fuse products so that they were in order and easy to identify.
- Fuseco tote box labels show an image of the fuse, part number, dimensions and description, assisting with easy visual identification by staff or customers.
- Finished presentation looks neat and tidy.
- Part numbers can be found quickly and easily, reducing the time taken to serve customers.
- Products that were in the incorrect location are corrected, minimizing the risk of picking errors.
- Stock is replenished, and levels are accurate.
The Solution
Fuseco visited Vealls and cleared all of the existing stock and old boxes from the designated shelving bay for fuse products. The shelves were then cleaned and new Fuseco tote boxes were installed. The new box labels include a photo of the fuse for visual identification along with part number, product dimensions and performance information. Old, damaged stock was removed and new stock was introduced where required to create a perfect stock profile for that branch. Eventually, this area of the product shelving looked clean, was in order and reconciled with the stock in the computer system.
Fuseco provides this service for free to its wholesaler customers where practical.
The Outcome
Vealls were extremely happy with the result. Their team now have confidence when picking fuse and fuse holder products because they are easy to find, organized in sequence by part numbers, easy to identify and pick, reducing the time taken to serve a customer and resulting in an improvement of the customer experience.
